More Snow Continues to Blanket Whiteface

WILMINGTON, N.Y. (March 10, 2018) --- It’s been said more times than not, that March delivers more snowfall than any other month. So far, that’s been true for this month. Over the last seven days, 30-plus inches of snow has fallen on Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y., making for great skiing and riding conditions for powder hounds and groom runners alike.

The snow may still be coming well into next week. Weather experts are watching for a potential third coastal storm, Tuesday and Wednesday, so there’s no better time than now to carve turns on the Olympic mountain.

Whiteface’s First tracks program is a great way to get on the mountain and the new snow before everyone else.  Skiers and riders can take an early morning guided run Saturdays and Sundays before the lifts and trails open. First Tracks is limited to 14 intermediate and above level skiers and riders. For more details, or to register, email the mountain’s guest services desk, ski@whiteface.com.

While at Whiteface, put just 25-percent down on the purchase of your 2018-‘19 season pass and enjoy unlimited skiing for the rest of this season. This new payment plan has no additional fees and just three easy payments.

Next Saturday join in on the St. Patrick’s Day fun at Whiteface Mountain. There’s live music with Ausable Branch, in the newly renovated Cloudspin Bar & Grill, then on Sunday, March 18, it’s the final Give Back Sunday on the season. Bring a grocery bag of canned pet food, a 10-pound or larger bag of dry pet food and/or pet toys to the resort’s ticket window and save on the purchase of your lift ticket. All donations will go to area shelters.
