Customers may visit mta.info and check out The Weekender, accessible by clicking the Weekender tab in the Service Status Menu. The Weekender makes it easy for subway riders to visualize exactly how weekend work will affect subway service.

The Weekender for Mobile App includes MTA Subway Time data and is available for iPhone in the Apple app store, and in the Google Play store for Android devices.  This free app shares the same features as the desktop version, including a subway diagram that displays the service to be provided each weekend, and all service changes.  Users can pinch or expand the map to multiple zoom levels, and tap to choose one of three ways to view service diversions: Service by Line, Service by Borough and Service by Station. 

Customers can also download the apps at web.mta.info/apps/weekenderApp.html.

TripPlanner+ provides travel information that takes weekend service diversions into account.  In addition, customers can receive customized subway diversion e-mails delivered to their inbox by signing up for the E-mail Subscription Program by clicking here.

These weekend changes are part of capital construction work on the MTA New York City Transit subway system.  NYC Transit’s ongoing Capital Rebuilding Program upgrades and maintains tracks, stations and signal infrastructure in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.  For more information on the 2015-2019 Capital Program, click here.   Customers who rely on these lines should allow for additional travel time.

From 11:45 p.m. on Friday, September 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25,  service is replaced by  service in Brooklyn. Downtown  trains terminate at South Ferry. Downtown  trains terminate at 14 St.

• In Brooklyn,  service is extended to New Lots Av to replace the .  service is extended to Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College to replace the .   trains run local in Brooklyn. 
• In Manhattan and the Bronx,  trains run between Eastchester-Dyre Av and South Ferry, making local stops between 34 St-Penn Station and Chambers St. In Manhattan,  service runs between Harlem-148 St and 14 St. 
• In Brooklyn, no service at the Clark St and Hoyt St stations.  Use the nearby Borough Hall and Nevins St stations.
• In Manhattan, no service at the Park Place and Wall St  stations. Use the nearby Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and Wall St  stations.
• For service from Brooklyn into Manhattan, transfer at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr for  trains.
• For service from Manhattan into Brooklyn, transfer at 42 St-Times Sq for  trains or transfer at South Ferry  to the Whitehall St  station. A free out-of-system transfer also is available between South Ferry  and nearby Bowling Green  station. 

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, September 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, service is suspended in both directions between Wakefield-241 St and Gun Hill Rd. Free shuttle buses operate between Wakefield-241 St and Gun Hill Rd.  Transfer between shuttle buses and  trains at Gun Hill Rd.

•  service operates between Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College and Gun Hill Rd. 

From 3:45 a.m. Saturday, September 23, to 10 p.m. Sunday, September 24, uptown trains run express from 3 Av-149 St to E 180 St.  Use a Manhattan-bound train to complete your trip.  Transfer at E 180 St or 149 St-Grand Concourse. 

From 6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, downtown trains run express from Pelham Bay Park to Parkchester. Use an uptown train to complete your trip. Transfer at Parkchester or Pelham Bay Park.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, September 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, downtown trains run express from 59 St-Columbus Circle to Canal St. Use an uptown  local or  train to complete your trip.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, September 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, downtown trains run local from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle.

From 6:30 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, September 23, and Sunday, September 24, downtown trains run express from 59 St-Columbus Circle to Canal St. Use an uptown local  or  train to complete your trip.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, September 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, Coney Island-bound trains skip DeKalb Av and run express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 36 St. Use a Manhattan-bound  train to complete your trip. Transfer at 36 St or Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, September 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, downtown trains run local from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle.

Until fall 2017, trains skip Prospect Av in both directions. Use the nearby 4 Av-9 St  ( late nights) or 25 St  ( late nights) via the B37 or B63 buses.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, September 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, trains run via the  in both directions between 21 St-Queensbridge and W 4 St. Manhattan-bound  trains terminate at W 4 St.

• For service to stations on 8 Av or south of W 4 St, transfer at W 4 St for  service or transfer to Times Sq-42 St/Port Authority  via the  from 74 St-Roosevelt Av .
• Free shuttle buses make stops at Court Sq-23 St, Queens Plaza  and 21 St-Queensbridge.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, September 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, Manhattan-bound trains run local from 71 Av to 21 St-Queensbridge .

Until early 2018, Manhattan-bound trains skip Avenue U, Avenue P, Avenue N, Bay Pkwy, and Avenue I. Use a Coney Island-bound train to complete your trip. Transfer at 18 Av, Kings Hwy or Avenue X.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, September 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, service is suspended between Stillwell Av and Church Av. Free shuttle buses make stops between Stillwell Av and Church Av.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, September 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, Manhattan-bound trains run local from 71 Av to 21 St-Queensbridge.

Until fall 2017, Manhattan-bound trains skip 121 St and 104 St. Use nearby 111 St or Woodhaven Blvd stations instead.

From 3:45 a.m. Saturday, September 23, to 10 p.m. Sunday, September 24, Queens-bound trains terminate at Crescent St. Free shuttle buses make all  stops between Crescent St and 121 St, and at Jamaica-Van Wyck .

• For Sutphin Blvd/Archer Av and Jamaica Center, transfer between free shuttle buses and trains at Jamaica-Van Wyck  or Crescent St  or take the  train.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, September 23, and Sunday, September 24, service operates in two sections.  

• Between 8 Av and Bway Junction. To continue your trip, transfer at Bway Junction.
• Between Bway Junction and Rockaway Pkwy. Trains run every 24 minutes in this section.

Until spring 2018, service is suspended between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Myrtle Av (Broadway).

•  service operates in two sections: Between Essex St and Myrtle Av then via the  to/from Bway Junction on days/evenings, and between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.
• Free shuttle buses operate between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Myrtle Av (Broadway).

Until fall 2018, Coney Island-bound trains skip Fort Hamilton Pkwy, New Utrecht Av, 18 Av, 20 Av, Kings Hwy, Avenue U and 86 St. Use a Manhattan-bound train to complete your trip. Transfer at Stillwell Av, Bay Pkwy or 8 Av.

• For service to New Utrecht Av-62 St, take the  train by transferring at 36 St.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, September 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, Astoria-bound trains skip 39 Av, 36 Av, Broadway and 30 Av. Use a Coney Island-bound train to complete your trip. Transfer at Astoria Blvd or Queensboro Plaza.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, September 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, trains stop at 45 St and 53 St in Brooklyn in both directions.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, September 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, Coney Island-bound trains run local via the  from 57 St-7 Av to DeKalb Av.

Until fall 2017, trains skip Prospect Av and Bay Ridge Av in both directions.

• For Prospect Av, use the nearby 4 Av-9 St  ( late nights) or 25 St ( late nights) stations via the B37 and B63 buses.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, September 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, September 25, Brooklyn-bound trains terminate at 9 Av . Service operates days/evenings between Forest Hills-71 Av and 36 St (Brooklyn), then via the  to 9 Av. Late night service is suspended between Brooklyn and Whitehall St.

• Free line-closure buses make stops between Bay Ridge-95 St and 36 St. Transfer between trains and buses at 36 St or 59 St .
•  trains provide late night service.
