Glenmont, NY (July 17, 2019) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the Eastern New York Laborers Training Center will conduct a recruitment from September 20, 2019 through September 18, 2020 for ten Skilled Construction Craft Laborer apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today.

Please note that five openings are for the Albany area and five openings are for the Utica area. All applications must be completed onsite for both locations.

For Albany area apprentices, applications can be obtained on the third Friday of each month excluding legal holidays from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at:

• The Eastern New York Laborers Training Center, 666 Wemple Road, Glenmont, NY
• The Eastern Contractors Association, 6 Airline Drive, Albany, NY
• The Laborers International Union, 348 Duanesburg Road, Schenectady, NY 

For Utica area apprentices, applications will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the last Thursday of the month excluding legal holidays at 10 Main Street, Suite 205, Whitesboro, NY.

The Committee requires that applicants:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma (such as TASC or GED).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.  Apprentices may be required to operate company vehicles.
• Must be a resident of New York State.
• Must be able to work both day and evening shifts, as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work and classes.
