No Subway Service at Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum Station 

Mass Transit is the Easiest and Most Sustainable Way to Get to the Brooklyn Half Marathon 

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is reminding customers that mass transit is the best way to get to the Brooklyn Half Marathon on Saturday, May 20. There will be some service changes in effect for certain New York City subway and bus lines to accommodate the event. 

New York City Subway 

Between 4:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., there will be no  service at the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum station. Brooklyn-bound  trains will operate express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Center to Crown Heights-Utica Av. Manhattan-bound  trains will resume service at Eastern Pkwy-Brooklyn Museum at 9:00 a.m.

To reach the Wave 1 starting line from Manhattan, customers can take the Brooklyn-bound  to Franklin Av. To reach the Wave 2 starting line from Manhattan, customers can take the Brooklyn-bound  to Franklin Av, and transfer to the Manhattan-bound  to Grand Army Plaza. Please be advised, the last Manhattan-bound  train stopping at Grand Army Plaza departs Franklin Av at 6:15 a.m. 

There will be no  service between Church Av and Coney Island-Stillwell Av. 

New York City Buses  

Several local and express bus routes throughout the city will be affected by street closures throughout the day. Customers should visit new.mta.info and check the “Current Service Status” for updates. 

Paratransit 

Access-A-Ride (AAR) customers may experience delays due to street closures.

WhatsApp – Customers can chat with NYC Transit via WhatsApp. Riders can receive customer service support in their native language through the help of Google Translate.
