Verrazano-Narrows Bridge Upper Level Nighttime Closures This Week, 5/23-5/27

There will be full closures of the Upper Level of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge starting Monday night through Friday morning, to accommodate the placement of large steel beams.  The closure details are:

  • Mon., 5/23: Upper Level westbound (Staten Island bound) closed 9:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
  • Tues., 5/24: Upper Level westbound (Staten Island bound) closed 9:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
  • Wed., 5/25: Upper Level eastbound (Brooklyn bound) closed 9:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m.; westbound (Staten Island bound) closed, traffic permitting, 9:00 PM through 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
  • Thurs., 5/26: Upper Level eastbound (Brooklyn bound) closed 9:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m.; westbound (Staten Island bound) closed, traffic permitting, 10:00 PM through 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.

Motorists should allow additional travel time during these periods.
