About the Hearings
On Friday, February 28, 2020, New York State Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon convened a wage board, and held the first in a series of public hearings to hear testimony to consider the existing overtime work threshold for farm laborers and the extent to which the overtime work threshold may be lowered in New York State.

During the hearings, testimony will be heard from farm laborers, agricultural employers, academic experts, and elected officials, among others. All attendees are encouraged to preregister. Speakers will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals who wish to speak can register at: http://www.labor.ny.gov/farmwageboard.

If you wish to watch or call in to listen to the hearing, the Zoom link will be available at https://www.labor.ny.gov/workerprotection/farm-laborer-wage-board.shtm the day before the hearing.

If an individual cannot attend any of the wage board hearings but still wants to have their voice heard, they can submit testimony to wageboard@labor.ny.gov.
