COMPANIES RECEIVE NEW YORK STATE SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED BUSINESS CERTIFICATION

Commissioner Jeanette Moy today announced that the following businesses were recently certified by the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development.

The newly certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs) are: 

  • United Industries & Construction, located in Brooklyn, NY, specializes in structural demolition, earthwork, excavation support, structural concrete, and site work.
  • Msainst Enterprises, located in Otisville, NY, is a technology and home renovation company.
  • Waypoint Canine, located in Cazenovia, NY, provides canine professional services.
  • AJ Medical Products, located in East Syracuse, NY, is a merchant wholesaler of medical, dental, and hospital equipment and supplies.
  • Elijah Pro Services, located in Brooklyn, NY, is a flooring and painting contractor.
  • Little Friends School Sunnyside, located in Sunnyside, NY, provides child daycare services.
  • Ryan H. Nixon, located in Wellsville, NY, is a cut-and-sew apparel contractor.
  • DME Plaza, located in Syosset, NY, is a merchant wholesaler of medical, dental, and hospital equipment and supplies.
  • Public Health Networks, located in South Orange, NJ, provides administrative management and general management consulting services.

The OGS Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development was created in May 2014 through the enactment of the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Act. There are 1,258 certified businesses.

The Act promotes and encourages the participation of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses in NYS public procurements of public works, commodities, services, and technology to foster and advance economic development in the State.
