Four Companies Receive New York State Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Certification

Office of General Services Commissioner RoAnn Destito today announced that the following four businesses were recently certified by the Office of General Services’ (OGS) Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development (DSDVBD):

  • I.G. Contracting LLC, located in East Rutherford, NJ, specializes in computer software solutions.
  • Star Guard International LLC, located in Staten Island, NY, provides security guard services.
  • Kern and Bellows Inc., located in Short Hills, NJ, is a digital and technology solutions provider.
  • Sue Rushford, located in Newburgh, NY, provides editorial services.

The Division was created by Governor Andrew Cuomo in May 2014 with enactment of the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Act. There are 784 certified businesses.

The Act promotes and encourages participation of SDVOBs in NYS public procurements of public works, commodities, services and technology to foster and advance economic development in the State.
