*REVISED* Intermittent Full Closures at the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel Scheduled for Saturday Night

This work was originally scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 20, but due to the forecast calling for inclement weather, this work has been moved up to Saturday, Nov. 19

There will be intermittent full tunnel closures at the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel on Saturday, Nov. 19th, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM for placement of a gantry structure and associated roadway work.  There will be several closures during this period, each lasting up to 30 minutes when all vehicular traffic will be halted in both directions, between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Signage will be in place to alert motorists, who should plan accordingly or consider an alternate route.  In addition to the intermittent full tunnel closure on Sunday, the regular weekend tube closure will be in effect from 8PM Friday night through 5AM Monday morning.

Motorists can sign up for MTA e-mail or text alerts at www.mta.info and check the Bridges and Tunnels homepage or Facebook page for the latest information on this planned work.
