Take the LIRR to Long Island Restaurant Week Oct. 29 – Nov. 5

Trains Service to Hottest Downtown Locations, Steps From Some Featured Eateries

Take it easy with a ride on the Long Island Rail Road on your way to taste a part of the Island’s bourgeoning food scene with Long Island Restaurant Week starting this Sunday, Oct. 29, running to Nov. 5. No need to worry about traffic on the Long Island Expressway. Forget about circling busy downtown districts for parking – and constantly asking yourself, “Did I feed the meter?” Enjoy the wine and allow the LIRR to get you there and home safely.

The LIRR can take you within a few-minutes’ walk to some of the 250 eateries that are participating in Restaurant Week in hip downtown strips and Main Street corridors like Caracara Mexican Grill in Farmingdale, Novita Wine Bar & Trattoria in Garden City, The Oar Steak & Seafood Grill in Patchogue, Monsoon Steak & Sushi in Babylon, Salt & Barrel in Bay Shore, and Brasserie Americana in Great Neck, along with a host of options out on the East End.

Since its inception in 2006, Long Island Restaurant Week has garnered an overwhelmingly positive response by restauranteurs and diners alike, leading it to become a tri-annual mainstay in the Island’s culinary scene. During this week, each participating restaurant offers its own specially curated three-course prix fixe meal for $28.95. The special pricing is offered each night, all night, with the exception of Saturday, when it is available until 7 p.m.
