QUICK PAY OFFERS TAXPAYERS A CONVENIENT WAY TO PAY TAX BILLS

Make Payments Directly from Your Bank Account — For Free!
The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance encourages taxpayers to use Quick Pay, a free and convenient way to pay personal and business tax bills directly from their bank account without having to create an Online Services account.

“Quick Pay is a simple payment option for taxpayers to pay their New York State tax debts,” said New York State Department of Taxation and Finance Acting Commissioner Amanda Hiller. “Quick Pay is available online 24/7 – making it easier than ever to pay their tax debts.”

If taxpayers receive a tax bill, they should pay it before the due date to avoid accruing additional penalties and interest.

To make a payment using Quick Pay, taxpayers need the case or assessment number from their bill and the following information from a filed return:

For personal income tax debts:
  • Social Security number (and spouse's, if applicable)
  • filing status
  • mailing ZIP code
  • taxpayer’s first and last name
For business tax debts:
  • business taxpayer ID, such as federal Employer Identification Number (EIN)
  • business taxpayer name
  • two additional data points from a filed return, which vary based on tax type and form:
    • for corporation tax, have available a return filed within the last 12 months
    • for sales tax, have available a return filed within the last 18 months
    • for withholding tax, have available a return filed within the last 18 months
  • business owner or officer information, which includes:
    • taxpayer ID
    • first and last name
