Montreal Canadiens Fantasy Camp Visits Lake Placid Nov. 21

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (November 16, 2015) --- Twenty-five diehard fans of the National Hockey League’s Montreal Canadiens will visit Lake Placid, N.Y., Saturday, Nov. 21, as part of the NHL team’s second annual Fantasy Camp. The campers will participate in a practice/scrimmage session in the famed Lake Placid Olympic Center’s Herb Brooks Arena 1980 Rink.

The camp gives these fans the chance to live out their dream of playing in the NHL, alongside their favorite Habs legends. The three-day experience incorporates on and off-ice practices with a mix of off-site team building activities.

Among the Hab legends directing the camp is Mats Naslund. Before joining the Montreal Canadiens and becoming a fan favorite, from 1982-1990, Naslund helped to lead the Swedish men’s hockey team to an Olympic bronze medal during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid. It was Sweden’s first Olympic medal since 1952. During his eight seasons in Montreal, the left winger scored 612 points in 617 regular season games, placing him 11th among all Montreal Canadiens players.
