Vital to the State’s crop industry and food production, pollinators are significant contributors to the agricultural economy by adding roughly $500 million to the value of food crops through pollination on an annual basis and adding $15 billion in value to crop production nationally each year.

A beehive demonstration and trail tour to view pollinators in their natural habitat with the second grade class from Berne Knox Westerlo Elementary School will immediately follow the speaking ceremony.
