6 Straight Days of Snow and no End in Site

WILMINGTON, N.Y. --- The snow just keeps falling at Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y. It has snowed every day, over the last six days, and weather experts are calling for even more snow over the next 10 days. To date, Whiteface Mountain has received more than 60 inches of natural snowfall, so this is a great time to get out and ski or ride.

First Tracks starts this weekend.  This free program runs weekends and holidays through the season. Email ski@whiteface.com for details and to register.

Plus, this Sunday, Dec. 11, is Santas Ski Free Day. Skiers and riders who dress as Mr. or Mrs. Claus and participate in the 10 a.m. group photo receive a free lift ticket. Those who don’t have a jolly red suit can donate a gently used winter coat or a new toy (valued over $10) and receive 50% off a lift ticket for the day.

Even if you don’t ski or ride, donate a gently used coat or new toy and save 50% on a Cloudsplitter Gondola ride to the summit of Little Whiteface. Once at the summit, guests enjoy breathe-taking views of the resort’s ski trails, steep rock faces, thick forest and the Adirondack Park.

Sunday’s items will be collected by Boy Scouts of America volunteers and given to the New York State troopers to be distributed throughout the north country.
