RETRO FITNESS GYM NOW OPEN AT EMPIRE STATE PLAZA

Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner RoAnn Destito today announced that national fitness chain Retro Fitness has opened a gym in the Empire State Plaza concourse. The membership-based facility will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. The gym is located in the southwest concourse between the Au Bon Pain main café and the entrance to Agency Building 1.

“We are delighted to welcome Retro Fitness to the Empire State Plaza,” said Commissioner Destito. “Our goal at the Office of General Services is to make the best possible use of New York State’s public facilities, and a gym that provides people with opportunities to stay healthy and fit is a great use of space here at the Plaza.”

“This new gym provides me the opportunity to share my passion for fitness with everyone at the Empire State Plaza,” said Retro Fitness gym owner Trey Jasenski. “Our staff will help you get to any fitness goal you have and be there every step of the way.”

The Empire State Plaza Retro Fitness features:
  • Cardio and strength-training machines, as well as free weights, including dumbbells up to 120 pounds.
  • Workout classes for people of every skill level.
  • Locker rooms with showers and bathrooms.
  • A pro shop selling clothing, protein bars, and supplements.
  • A Retro Blends smoothie bar.
  • Tanning.
