Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Recruit Apprentices |

Whitney Point, NY (November 17, 2017) - The Joint Apprenticeship Committee for The International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen, Local Union #3, will conduct a recruitment from December 18, 2017 through December 17, 2018 for 10 bricklayer, mason, and plasterer apprentices; 10 cement mason apprentices; and 10 tile setter apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Applications can be obtained at the BAC-JATC Ithaca Training Center, 4 Railroad Street, Whitney Point, NY from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., every Monday, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Applications are also available at the following Southern Tier Department of Labor offices, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours:

For further information, applicants should contact their nearest New York State Department of Labor office or Local Union #3 at (607) 786-8945. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities.
