Harlem Globetrotters Fly High into the Olympic Center February 17

Tickets are still Available for 90th Anniversary World Tour

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- You won’t want to miss out on the high flying, rim rattling fun when the Harlem Globetrotters return to the Olympic Center, in Lake Placid, N.Y., Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m.

The Globetrotters have enjoyed another memory filled World-wide tour. Along the way, they’ve made Pope Francis the team’s ninth Honorary Globetrotter and set seven Guinness World Records® records on Guinness Worlds Record Day, while in Phoenix, Ariz. Among the records were Thunder Law’s longest basketball shot while blindfolded, measuring 69 feet, six inches, the most three point shots made by two players in a single minute, 19, the old record was 15, and the furthest basketball hook shot, that measured 50 feet, three and a half inches. Their video “Stomp,” in which they make music with basketballs, has been viewed by more than 400-thousand people.

During this year’s tour, the Globetrotters are giving back to communities across North America through the team’s The Great Assist program. Fans are encouraged to visit GreatAssist.com to nominate a worthwhile cause or a deserving family in need of a smile, and the Globetrotters will help as many fans as possible throughout the tour. In addition to fan requests, the team has brought back its bullying prevention program to over 400 schools and community centers, in which they talk to youth about character education and physical fitness, while visiting children’s hospitals and lending a hand to those in need.

On the court Wednesday night, the Globetrotters’ will feature some of the greatest athletes and entertainers on the planet. With a star-studded roster featuring Ant Atkinson, Bull Bullard, Thunder Law, Sweet J, Smooth Staples, Firefly, Dizzy English, Flight Time and the seven foot, four inch Stretch. The Globetrotter’s season is dedicated to Meadowlark Lemon and Marques Haynes and every game will showcase incredible ball handling wizardry, rim-rattling dunks, trick shots, hilarious comedy and unequaled fan interaction. After the game, Globetrotter stars will sign autographs and take photos with fans.
