Students conduct their own research about these ecosystems and learn how scientists are working to protect them. Sponsored by DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Program, in partnership with the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve, the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University, Cornell University’s New York State Water Resources Institute, and NEIWPCC, this event helps prepare students to become stewards of the tidal Hudson River, a vital natural resource.
