The New York Lottery today announced that two third prize winning tickets worth $50,000 for the August 31, 2022 Powerball® drawing were purchased in New York. The winning tickets each have four matching numbers and the Powerball.  

The prize-winning tickets were purchased at Smokes 4 Less in Fishkill and Laxmi Cards and Gifts in Farmingdale. 

The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing conducted on August 31 are: 7-8-19-24-28 and the Powerball is 1. Players can securely check their tickets on the New York Lottery app.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The Powerball number is drawn from a separate field one to of 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. The jackpot for the drawing to be held on September 3 is an estimated $148 milion.
