DEC to Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Elm Ridge Wild Forest Multi-Use Trails

Who: NYS Department of Environmental Conservation acting Chief of Staff Julie Tighe and Region 4 Director Keith Goertz will be joined by elected officials and community partners to unveil new multi-use trails at Elm Ridge Wild Forest.

What: DEC and partners unveil new trails at Elm Ridge Wild Forest

When: Friday, Nov. 17, 10:30 a.m.

Where: DEC Trailhead parking lot on Route 23, about 19 miles west of Exit 21 of the NYS Thruway at Catskill in the town of Windham

Directions:

  • Take NYS Thruway Exit 21
  • Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Main St.
  • Merge Right onto Route 23 West
  • Travel about 19.4 miles to trailhead parking on the right at intersection with Cross Rd. (42.312681°N, 74.190969°W)
