ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE ADIRONDACKS WELCOME CENTER

Leading into the busy holiday travel days to Memorial Day weekend, the State Departments of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Transportation (DOT) will join state and local officials and organization partners for an announcement at the Adirondacks Welcome Center in Queensbury, Warren County. The event will conclude with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Who: DEC and DOT representatives will be joined by Senator Betty Little, local elected officials, and partnering organizations including:

    • Paul Smith’s College Adirondack Watershed Institute
    • The Nature Conservancy, ADK Chapter
    • The FUND for Lake George
    • Lake George Park Commission
    • Lake George Association

When: Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.

Where:  The Adirondacks Welcome Center
I-87 N (Between Exits 17 &, 18, Queensbury, NY 12804).

 **Event will take place near the northbound ramp, on the north side of the rest area, followed by a partner photo-op/ribbon cutting ceremony.
