Union and Quinnipiac Remain 3 & 4 in this Week’s USCHO.Com Poll

ALBANY, N.Y. --- Nothing has changed from last week to this week for ECAC Hockey’s Quinnipiac and Union.  The Bobcats (19-4-5, 9-2-3) remained third in this week’s USCHO.Com division I men’s ice hockey poll, while the Dutchmen (17-6-3, 11-3-0) kept their grip on the fourth place spot.

In the chase for the league’s regular season crown, Union leads the 12-school conference with 22 points, one ahead of second place Quinnipiac and two in front of ninth ranked Cornell (12-4-5, 8-3-4), who sit third in the ECAC Hockey standings.

Although Yale (11-6-4, 6-5-3), the reigning national champions, sit sixth in the conference with 15 points, the Bulldogs are ranked 13th in the national poll.

Clarkson (16-10-2, 9-5-0) climbed one spot in this week’s poll to number 14.  The Golden Knights, who were picked to finish last in the pre-season poll, went 1-1 in their Friday and Saturday series against RPI (11-11-4, 5-6-3) and Union. They opened play, blanking the Engineers 3-0, before falling to Union 4-3. With 18 points, Clarkson is fifth in the conference standings.
