Buses Will Replace Eight Overnight LIRR Trains Between Great Neck & Port Washington on Saturday, January 28, to Allow PSE&G to Finish Repairs to Damaged Utility Pole

The Work Is Scheduled to Begin at 12:54 a.m. and Finish by 6:45 a.m.

 

Buses will replace trains on the Port Washington Branch between Great Neck and Port Washington Station tomorrow, Saturday, January 28 from 12:54 a.m. until 6:45 a.m. to allow PSE&G to complete repairs on a utility pole near Plandome Station that was damaged by high winds earlier this week.

Four westbound trains and four eastbound trains will be affected as follows:
 
Westbound
The 2:10 a.m., 4:10 a.m., 5:39 a.m. and 6:39 a.m. trains from Port Washington will originate in Great Neck. Customers at stations Port Washington, Plandome and Manhasset will board buses or vans up to 30 minutes earlier than normal train time connecting at Great Neck for trains service west.
 
Eastbound
The 12:23 a.m., 1:18 a.m., 3:04 a.m. and 5:19 a.m. trains from Penn Station will terminate at Great Neck. Customers traveling to stations Manhasset, Plandome and Port Washington will transfer to buses or vans at Great Neck. Please plan for up to 29 minutes of additional travel time.
