LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (February 21, 2017) – The nation’s top junior cross country skiers (ages 14-19) are getting ready to gather in Lake Placid, N.Y. to compete in the 2017 Cross Country Junior National Championships, March 5-11, 2017, in Lake Placid, N.Y. Ten national titles and one international crown are at stake for the more than 400 athletes and 125 coaches participating in the eight-day event at Mt. Van Hoevenberg. Built to host the 1980 Olympic Winter Games’ Nordic events, Mt. Van Hoevenberg’s trail system continues to hold its place as a world class destination for Nordic sports. Attached to this advisory is the event’s media credential request form, to be returned by February 24, 2017 for consideration WHO: Top American Nordic skiers, all between the ages of 14-19 years-old WHAT: 2017 Cross Country Junior National Championships WHEN: March 5-11, 2017 WHERE: Mt.
