St. Lawrence & Clarkson Faceoff Saturday Night at Lake Placid’s Olympic Center

Tickets for the NBT Bank Thanksgiving Faceoff Still Available

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- It’s expected to be another tough battle against arch rivals when St. Lawrence faces Clarkson, during Saturday night’s, Nov. 24, NBT Bank Thanksgiving Faceoff, at 7 p.m., in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Team captain Nico Sturm leads Clarkson’s (6-4-0, 1-1-0) high-powered offense onto the Olympic Center’s international size hockey rink. The junior, from Augsburg, Germany, has scored at least one point in each of the Golden Knights’ first 10 games and has six goals and 14 points.

Saturday’s game will be considered a home contest for Clarkson. They’ll try to carry some of the same success they’ve enjoyed at the Cheel Arena, where they’re a perfect 5-0. They have just one win on the road to date.

The Saints (2-9-0, 0-2-0) recorded their most impressive win of the young season last Friday, when they skated past 19th ranked Minnesota, 4-3, in overtime. It was St. Lawrence’s first overtime victory in 979 days. The Golden Gophers did bounce back the next night, picking up a 3-0 victory.

There’s still time to purchase your NBT Bank Thanksgiving Faceoff general admission ticket. Tickets are available at your local NBT Bank branch office. Simply stop into your local NBT office in Canton, Norfolk, Massena, Malone, Ogdensburg, Plattsburgh, Ellenburg Depot, Saranac Lake or Lake Placid.
