Operating Engineers Recruit Apprentices |

New Hampton, NY (October 3, 2022) – The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Operating Engineers, Local Union #825, will conduct a recruitment from November 14, 2022 through November 28, 2022 for 10 Operating Engineer (Universal Equipment) apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Please note that the 10 openings listed for apprentices represent the total number for two recruitment regions, the Hudson Valley and Southern Tier regions. Applications can be obtained online at https://tinyurl.com/825Apprenticeship. The online portal opens at 8:00 A.M. for 24 hours a day, during the recruitment period. This is a limited-application recruitment. Only one hundred (100) applications will be distributed, on a first-come, first-served basis. The recruitment will be offered for 10 business days or until 100 applications have been issued, whichever comes first. Applications must be received by no later November 28, 2022. Applicants who do not have internet access may visit their local library or visit local New York State Department of Labor Career Center (see: dol.ny.gov/career-centers). Only the first 100 applications received with high school transcripts or equivalent uploaded will be considered for review. The Committee requires that applicants:

Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status.
