Manhattan-bound 6 Trains to Skip E 149 St for Two Weeks in October |

 Trains to Skip Station 24/7 Oct. 1 Through Oct. 17The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is advising customers that Manhattan-bound trains will bypass the E 149 St station for two weeks beginning at 10:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30. Manhattan-bound trains will resume making stops at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17. This platform closure will accommodate station and automated fare collection upgrades. During this time, Manhattan-bound customers wishing to board at E 149 St should take a Pelham Bay or Parkchester-bound train to Hunts Point Av and transfer to a downtown train.Customers boarding at stations from Pelham Bay Park to Longwood Av wishing to travel to E 149 St during this time should take a Manhattan-bound train to 3 Av-138 St and transfer to an uptown train.Service Update Information Available Information about the planned schedule changes is available through the MTA’s many real-time service information sources. MYmta app – Customers who use the comprehensive MYmta smartphone app will see real-time travel information for all MTA services all in one place. new.mta.info – The “Service Status” box at new.mta.info is always the definitive source for the latest status for each line.
