The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced the launch of ‘On the Front Lines,’ a series of video profiles celebrating the stories of DEC staff and their important work to protect the environment, conserve New York’s vast natural resources, and serve the public. “Every day, DEC’s dedicated employees are on the front lines of protecting and restoring our air, water and open spaces, and we are excited to launch this new series to share their personal stories with a behind-the-scenes look at their important work,” said DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos. “DEC’s ‘On the Front Lines’ video profiles offer a unique chance to get to know our staff on a personal level, and learn why they chose to work for New York State and how their work is making a difference for the lives of all New Yorkers.” ‘On the Front Lines’ will be presented monthly on DEC’s Homepage, Facebook, and Twitter pages. In January DEC profiled Jennifer Ross and Alon Dominitz, two employees from the Division of Water, specializing in dam safety. This month, DEC profiles Fitzgerald Drummond, a Senior Lab Equipment Designer with our Division of Air Resources and a member of the U.S. National Guard: https://youtu.be/cfcfDI5qGac. |
