Insulation & Asbestos Workers Recruit Apprentices |

Buffalo, NY (May 19, 2014) – The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Heat & Frost Insulators & Allied Workers Local Union #4 will conduct a recruitment from June 17, 2014 through June 16, 2015 for four insulation and asbestos worker apprentices, State Labor Commissioner Peter M. Rivera announced today. Applications can be obtained at Local Union #4, 2484 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Completed applications must be received by June 16, 2015. The Committee requires that applicants:
For further information, applicants should contact their nearest New York State Department of Labor office or Local Union #4 at (716) 823-0980. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
