Buffalo, NY (January 28, 2019) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the Buffalo Laborers Training JAC will conduct a recruitment from March 12, 2019 through December 10, 2019 for 10 skilled construction craft laborer apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Applications must be completed on site at the Buffalo Laborers Training Center, 1370 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on the second Tuesday of each month during the recruitment period. For further information, applicants should contact their nearest New York State Department of Labor office or the Buffalo Laborers JATC at (716) 825-0883. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
