MEDIA ADVISORY: MTA to Unveil New Subway Car Fleet
MTA leaders will literally unwrap the first cars of the never-before-seen R211 subway fleet before the cars take their historic first trip on New York City Transit tracks. Media will have an opportunity to record the unwrapping as well as the start of the first R211 trip in NYC. WHEN TODAY, July 1 – 11:00 a.m. WHERE: 39^th Street and 1^st Avenue BROOKLYN Media attending the event should follow the long cobblestone road toward the water. A security booth will be located on the right toward the end of the road. Please provide security with your media credentials. Those coming from the BQE should get off at 39th St and follow ramp all the way towards the water until reaching the security gate.
