Hit a Home Run with Extra Metro-North Service to This Weekend's Yankees-Red Sox Series

Extra “Yankee Clipper Trains to the Game” will Run Before and After Games on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines

Fans Can Also Get to the Games via Subway, Bus and Paratransit 

Metro-North Railroad is helping fans experience Aaron Judge's historic season from Sept. 22-25 as one of the longest standing rivalries in sports returns to Yankee Stadium. The railroad is adding service to ensure fans can cheer on the Bronx Bombers as they take on the Boston Red Sox with games at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, 7:05 p.m. on Friday, 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, and Sunday starting at 7:08 p.m. 

Extra trains to deliver fans will run on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines, and regularly scheduled Hudson Line trains will make extra stops at Yankees-E 153rd St. 

Metro-North 

Metro-North already operates Trains to The Game at Yankee Stadium on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines for every home game, and is adding service on the New Haven Line to handle the larger crowds expected for the four-game Red Sox series Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 22-25. All Yankee Clipper trains, extra trains, connecting trains, ticket information and fares are shown on the MTA TrainTime app and on the website at new.mta.info/schedules 

On the New Haven Line, in addition to the regular Yankee Clipper direct trains to the stadium and the frequent connecting trains available via Harlem/125th St Station, on Thursday and Friday nights after the game, Metro-North is adding an additional Yankee Clipper train directly home on the New Haven Line, and on Saturday and Sunday we’re adding an extra Yankee Clipper train directly to and from the games. In total, on Saturday and Sunday, headed to the game, Metro-North will operate two Yankee Clipper trains directly from New Haven and one Yankee Clipper train directly from Stamford to the game, and after the game will operate four Yankee Clipper trains directly home, with three operating through to New Haven and one local train directly to Stamford. 

On the Hudson Line, Metro-North will operate its normal Yankee Clipper express and local trains from Poughkeepsie and Croton-Harmon to Yankee Stadium and returning home after the game; also, several express and local Hudson Line trains will make additional stops at Yankees/ E 153rd St Station for fans. 

On the Harlem Line, Metro-North will operate its normal Yankee Clipper train directly between Harlem Line stations and Yankees/ E 153rd St Station, returning home after the game, and there are frequent trains which connect at Harlem/125th St Station with Hudson Line and Shuttle trains for the short ride to and from the stadium. 

Extra shuttle trains will also operate between Grand Central Terminal, Harlem/125th St Station and Yankees/E 153rd St Station, where Yankee Stadium is located right across the park.

Fans can also take the MTA to the game with convenient service on subways, buses and paratransit.  

New York City Subway 

For this weekend’s series, customers can take the d or 4 train to the 161 St-Yankee Stadium station. 

The subway’s 161 St-Yankee Stadium station, with service on the bd and f lines, is right in front of the stadium at the corner of 161st Street and River Avenue. Local d trains and 4 trains stop at 161 St-Yankee Stadium at all times. b trains stop at 161 St-Yankee Stadium during rush hour only.

New York City Buses 

The Bx6, Bx6 SBS, Bx13 stop right in front of the stadium at E. 161st Street and River Avenue. In addition, the Bx1 and Bx2 both stop at E. 161st Street and the Grand Concourse, a three-block walk to the stadium.  

Customers can use the real-time bus ridership tracking feature on the MYmta app before boarding. 

Access-A-Ride 

Access-A-Ride paratransit has designated stops at Yankee Stadium. To book a trip customers can call (877)-337-2017, use MyAAR or the MYmta app.
