ORES Public Hearings to Take Place


What:  
The New York State Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) will hold the remaining three in a series of seven public hearings to accept public comments on the proposed uniform standards and conditions. ORES, which was established through the Accelerated Renewable Energy Growth and Community Benefit Act, is tasked with consolidating the environmental review of major renewable energy facilities and provide a single forum to ensure that siting decisions are predictable, responsible and delivered in a timely manner along with opportunities for input from local communities.

*Additional Information: In keeping with measures designed to limit the spread of COVID-19, all members of the public interested in attending the in-person hearing are required to pre-register by emailing ORES at general@ores.ny.gov. All hearing attendees must comply with the ORES public hearings procedures and complete a health screening form as well as a speaker card either in advance of or upon entry to the facility.
