ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey has announced the pairings for the 2018 ECAC Men's Hockey Championship featuring a 12-team tournament field held over three consecutive weekends.

The tournament field, in order of seeds, feature Cornell, Union, Clarkson, Harvard, Dartmouth, Colgate, Princeton, Yale, Quinnipiac, Brown, Rensselaer and St. Lawrence.

Tournament competition features four first-round series conducted at on-campus sites Friday-Sunday, March 2-4; four quarterfinals series at on-campus sites Friday-Sunday, March 9-11; and the championship semifinals and championship game March 16-17 at the 1980 Rink-Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y.

The first-round and quarterfinals series are best-of-three games. The top four seeds (Cornell, Union, Clarkson and Harvard will receive first-round byes.

The prestigious conference's top four post-season teams return to Lake Placid’s Olympic Center, March 16-17, each hoping to earn an automatic bid to play in the NCAA Championship Tournament. Last year, Harvard skated to the conference’s famed Whitelaw Cup en route to an appearance in the NCAA National Championship’s Frozen Four.
