**MEDIA ADVISORY **2017 Cross Country Junior National Championships Moved to Olympic Jumping Complex |

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (MARCH 3, 2017) --- Due to Wednesday and Thursday’s inclement weather, race officials decided today to move the March 5-11 2017 U.S. Cross Country Junior National Championships from the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Nordic ski center to the Olympic Jumping Complex. More than 400 athletes from 21 states, as far away as Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, are in Lake Placid, N.Y. competing for 10 national titles and one international crown. The opening ceremony is slated for Sunday and racing, on the jumping complex’s 2.5k trail system, gets underway with the Interval Start Freestyle (10km/5km) events, Monday.
