Arbor Day Celebrated in New York with City of Albany Announcement

New Yorkers Encouraged to Recognize Numerous Contributions Provided by Trees

 

Today, April 29, Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will join local officials and community groups for an Arbor Day celebration.

The City of Albany’s Wallenberg Park will serve as the backdrop for this celebration featuring a ceremonial tree planting along with presentations of industry awards and the 2016 Arbor Day Poster.

Who: DEC Chief of Staff Peter Walke will be joined by City of Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, State Senator Neil Breslin, Assemblywoman Patricia Fahy and other state and local officials and industry partners have also been invited to attend. 

When:  Today, April 29 at 1:00 p.m. 

Where: Wallenberg Park – Corner of Clinton Avenue and Broadway – Albany, NY
(Across from Palace Theatre)
