Celebrate Lake Placid Brewfest Saturday

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- Back for its fifth year, the Lake Placid Brewfest, Saturday, Oct. 15, has become a beer lover’s paradise for the one of the largest craft beer festivals in the region.

Plato is credited with saying that “He was a wise man who invented beer.” Well, there will be a lot of wise men, with as many as 70 micro brewers on hand, serving up more than 100 different selections of suds from around the country.

And while you’re enjoying all the great brews, tag your favorite Brewfest photos with #WFLPFallFests. Favorite tagged photos will be selected and featured as our “Fall Festival Photo of the Day” on www.WhitefaceLakePlacid.com.

Presented by Paul Smith’s College, Ales, lagers, pilsners, porter and stouts will all be available to drink and sample, from 3-7 p.m. in the Olympic Center’s 1932 Rink. Music by Annie in the Water will take the stage throughout the event which opens to VIP ticket holders at 2 p.m., an hour earlier than general admission.

Open to everyone 21 years and older, tickets categories include: $75 VIP, with an hour of early tasting to include exclusive samples, keepsake credential, special sampling glass and souvenir gift, while the $45 online, or $55 general admission ticket, includes a four-hour sampling and souvenir glass.
