Whiteface Lake Placid Fall Festivals Wraps up Flaming Leaves Festival

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- Bring the whole family and celebrate the fall season during the annual Flaming Leaves Festival taking place at the Olympic Jumping Complex, in Lake Placid, N.Y., Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7-8. And while you’re there, tag your favorite festival photos with #WFLPFallFests. Favorite tagged photos will be selected and featured as our “Fall Festival Photo of the Day” on www.WhitefaceLakePlacid.com.

The nation’s top ski jumpers soar off the Olympic Jumping Complex’s 90-meter ski jump, during the Flaming Leaves NYSEF K90 Ski Jump and 2017 U.S. Ski Jumping Championships.   The two-day event is packed with family activities to include lawn games, craft vendors, chairlift rides up to the 120-meter ski jump and a meet and greet with several athletes who hope to compete in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. Plus, during Saturday’s NYSEF event enjoy live music with the Jonathan Newell Band, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. and again at 6 p.m., followed by fireworks at 7 p.m.

The annual Flaming Leaves Festival is from noon- 8 p.m.. Saturday and 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday.  Admission is $16 for adults and $10 for juniors and seniors.  Two-day passes, which include a souvenir gift and beverage discounts, are also available, $27 for adults and $16 for juniors and seniors.
