DEC ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY LIMITED ACCESS TO LAKE EATON CAMPGROUND AND DAY USE AREA

Limited Access in Effect March 1 through May 15 for Culvert Repairs

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced temporary limited access to campground and day use areas at Lake Eaton to allow for culvert repair work. Limited access of Lake Eaton, located just north of the village of Long Lake, Hamilton County, will take place from March 1 through May 15 to accommodate these repairs.

Construction can affect general day use, lake access, and snowmobile travel. The project is planned to be completed for the opening of the camping season. Construction crews will be present and visitors should maintain a safe working distance at the site.
