As part of New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s celebration of Green Your Commute Day, DEC Acting Commissioner Basil Seggos will join DEC and staff from other state agencies to bike to work on Friday, May 20. Acting Commissioner Seggos will bike the Albany County Rail Trail, a 9-plus mile stretch of the old Delaware & Hudson Railroad that runs between Voorheesville and to the Port of Albany. Acting Commissioner Seggos will continue on to DEC headquarters at 625 Broadway. Acting Commissioner Seggos will depart from the beginning of the route in Voorheesville and arrive at DEC headquarters at approximately 9:00 a.m. Those wishing to join or cover the event are welcome to catch up anywhere along the route.
