ADVISORY: MTA New York Transit Holds Brooklyn Community Meeting on Reconstruction of the Canarsie L Tunnel

Community is Invited to Hear from MTA and NYC Transit and Provide Input about Vital L Line Work and Construction Options under Consideration

WHO: MTA Chairman & CEO Thomas F. Prendergast, New York City Transit President Veronique “Ronnie” Hakim, and other MTA personnel will host a community meeting to update the public on the Canarsie L Tunnel reconstruction project, provide details on construction and service options under consideration and hear community concerns and recommendations.  They will field questions from elected officials in attendance and respond to written questions and comments from the audience.

 

WHEN: Thursday, May 5, 2016

                  Doors Open at 6 p.m.

                   Program and Q/A from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 

WHERE: New York State Armory

355 Marcy Av in Brooklyn

Enter on Heyward Av between Marcy and Harrison Avs

Attendees must pass through security checkpoint

(G to Broadway, J/M to Lorimer St, or J/M/Z to Marcy Av; B48, B46, B57, B44, B44SBS, B60, B43, or B24 bus)

 

WHAT: Public comments and questions will be submitted on cards so that the concerns of as many attendees as possible can be addressed.   Staff members will also be on hand to answer specific questions regarding the project.
