Roofers Recruit Apprentices |

West Seneca, NY (April 28, 2017) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Roofers, Local Union #74 (Western NY), will conduct a recruitment from May 29, 2017 through May 25, 2018 for 20 roofer apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Please note that the 20 openings listed for roofer apprentices represent the total number for two recruitment regions - the Finger Lakes and Western regions. Applications must be completed in person at Local Union #74, 2800 Clinton Street, West Seneca, NY, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. The Committee requires that applicants:
Must submit certificates and work records after selection and prior to indenture. For further information, applicants should contact their nearest New York State Department of Labor office or Local Union #74 at (716) 828-0488. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
