LIRR Expects Westbound Delays and Some Cancellations During AM RushDerailed Track Maintenance Car Near Woodside Has Put on Track Out of Service

Customers are advised to expect delays and some westbound trains canceled and/or diverted to Atlantic Terminal, Brooklyn and Hunterspoint Ave. during this morning’s rush hour due to a derailed, non-passenger track work car east of Woodside. The following trains are being canceled and/or diverted:
Babylon Branch The 6:31AM train from Lindenhurst due Penn at 7:33AM is cancelled. Customers will be accommodated by the 6:32AM train from Babylon due Penn at 7:37AM, making added stops at Lindenhurst, Copiague, Amityville, Wantagh, Bellmore and Merrick.The 6:56AM train from Wantagh due Penn at 7:43AM is cancelled. Customers will be accommodated by the 6:42AM train from Babylon due Penn at 7:49AM, making added stops at Wantagh, Bellmore and Merrick. The 6:57AM train from Freeport due Penn at 7:40AM will be diverted to Atlantic Terminal. At Jamaica, transfer for service to Penn. The 7:48AM train from Wantagh due Penn at 8:40AM will be cancelled in Jamaica. Customers accommodated by the next westbound train.
