Credential Request Form Now Available for Luge World Cup

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (November 2, 2015) --- FIL Luge World Cup racing returns to Lake Placid, N.Y., and the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Olympic Sports Complex track, December 4-5, 2015. The doubles and men’s races are slated for Dec. 4, while the women’s and team relay competitions take place on Dec. 5.

 

WHAT: International luge racing. This event is the second stop on the nine-event World Cup tour which opens November 28-29, 2015 in Igls, Austria.

 

WHO: The world’s best luge athletes in men and women’s singles and doubles. Many of these athletes will compete in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, to be held in PyeongChang, Korea.

 

WHEN: Training begins Wednesday, Dec. 2, and continues through Thursday, Dec. 3. Nation’s Cup racing is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 3, beginning at 6 p.m.

                              Friday, Dec. 4

                                        9:30 a.m., Doubles’ 1st Run

                                        10:50 a.m., Doubles’ 2nd Run

                                        12:10 p.m., Men’s 1st Run

                                        1:45 p.m., Men’s 2nd Run

                              Saturday, Dec. 5

                                        10:40 a.m., Women’s 1st Run

                                        12 p.m., Women’s 2nd Run

                                        2 p.m., Team Relay

 

WHERE: Mt. Van Hoevenberg Olympic Sports Complex Track, Route 73, Lake Placid, N.Y.
