Metro-North Crews Make Improvements to Moodna ViaductBuses to Substitute for Trains Between Port Jervis and Harriman from Late Friday Evening, September 28, Through Early Evening Sunday, September 30

MTA Metro-North Railroad advises customers that crews will be out this weekend replacing ties on the Moodna Viaduct, south of the Salisbury Mills station. The Moodna Viaduct has 2,300 individual bridge timbers, and this weekend crews will continue work on this significant tie replacement project. Crews will also replace a track switch that allows trains to move from one track to another.
To accommodate this infrastructure improvement, buses will substitute for trains between Port Jervis and Harriman from 11:30 p.m. on Friday, September 28, and continuing until 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 30.
Service details are below:
Inbound: to Hoboken
On Saturday, September 29, and Sunday, September 30, buses will substitute for all trains operating between Port Jervis and Harriman. Customers may connect with train service to Hoboken at Harriman.
Customers traveling from Salisbury Mills will be bused to Ramsey-Rt. 17, where they can connect with train service to Hoboken. Buses will follow train schedules and make all scheduled stops to Harriman. Outbound: to Port Jervis:
On Friday, September 28, buses will substitute for the 11:30 p.m. and 2:09 a.m. trains from Harriman.
On Saturday, September 29, buses will substitute for all trains operating between Harriman and Port Jervis.
On Sunday, September 30, buses will substitute for the 10:28 a.m., 12:28 p.m., 2:44 p.m. and 5:11 p.m. trains from Harriman to Port Jervis. Train service resumes with the 7:20 p.m. train from Harriman to Port Jervis.
Buses will follow train schedules and make all regularly scheduled stops to Port Jervis.
