ADVISORY: MTA, Elected and School Officials Hold Station Renaming Dedication in Honor of Medgar Evers College |

Officials from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will join elected officials today to formally rename two subway stations in Brooklyn in honor of Medgar Evers College and its eponymous civil rights leader. WHEN:
TODAY, Oct. 1 at 2:45 p.m.
WHERE:
Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College subway station (Eastern Parkway median near southeast corner of Eastern Parkway and Franklin Avenue) for speaking portion. Media may then ride train, with officials, one stop southbound to President Street-Medgar Evers College subway station for signage photos and unveiling. Socially distant outdoor celebration to follow on corner of President St and Nostrand Av at 3:30 p.m. hosted by Assembly Member Diana Richardson.
