Customers may visit our website at www.mta.info and check out “The Weekender,” accessible by clicking “The Weekender” tab located within the Service Status Menu. The Weekender makes it easy for subway riders to visualize exactly how weekend work will affect subway service.

The updated “Weekender for Mobile App,” which now includes MTA Subway Time data, is available for iPhone in the Apple app store, and I n the Google Play store for Android devices.  This free-to-download app shares the same features as the desktop version, including a subway diagram that displays the service to be provided each weekend, and all service changes.  Users can pinch or expand the map to multiple zoom levels, and tap to choose one of three ways to view service diversions: Service by Line, Service by Borough and Service by Station. 

Customers can also download the apps at http://web.mta.info/apps/weekenderApp.html

TripPlanner+ provides travel information that takes weekend service diversions into account.  In addition, customers can receive customized subway diversion e-mails delivered to their inbox by signing up for the E-mail Subscription Program.  Just log on to the NYC Transit homepage at http://www.mta.info/nyct.

These weekend changes are necessary because of capital construction work on the MTA New York City Transit subway system.  This work is part of NYC Transit’s ongoing Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.  For more information on the 2015-2019 Capital Program log on to www.mta.info/capital.  Customers who rely on these lines should allow for additional travel time.

At all times until further notice,  trains skip Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St in both directions.  Use free shuttle buses instead.

• For Service to/from Sutter Av-Rutland Rd, free shuttle buses operate between the Sutter Av-Rutland Rd station and the Crown Hts-Utica Av station at all times.
• For Service to/from Junius St, free shuttle buses operate between the Junius St station and the Rockaway Av station at all times.

At all times until further notice,  trains skip Pennsylvania Av in both directions.  Free shuttle buses provide alternate service between Pennsylvania Ave and Van Siclen Av at all times.  B20 and B83 customers can transfer to/from free shuttle buses at Pennsylvania Av.  Free transfer is available with MetroCard.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 16 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 19,  trains are suspended in both directions between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St.  Free shuttle buses operate all weekend between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St, making all station stops.  Transfer between trains and shuttle buses at E 180 St.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 16 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 19,  trains are suspended in both directions between Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd and Rockaway Blvd.  Free shuttle buses provide alternate service.  Transfer between free shuttle buses and  trains at Rockaway Blvd.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 16 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, December 18, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, December 18, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound  trains run express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 36 St.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 16 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, Norwood-205 St bound  trains skip 170 St, 174-175 Sts, and 182-183 Sts. 

At all times until early 2017 Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound  trains skip Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U, and Avenue X.  To these stations, take the Coney Island-bound  to Kings Hwy or Neptune Av and transfer to a Jamaica-bound .  From these stations, take a Jamaica-bound  to Kings Hwy or 18 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 16 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, Jamaica-179 St bound  trains are rerouted via the  line from 47-50 Sts to Roosevelt Av. 

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 16 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, Jamaica-179 St bound  trains run express from Church Av to Smith-9 Sts.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 16 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, Court Square-bound  trains run express from Church Av to Smith-9 Sts.

From 3:45 a.m. Saturday, December 10 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, Broad St-bound  trains run express from Myrtle Av to Marcy Av. 

From 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, and from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18,  trains run every 20 minutes.  Delancey St-Essex St bound  trains run express from Myrtle Av to Marcy Av. 

At all times until Spring 2017, Astoria-Ditmars Blvd bound  trains skip 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy.   trains will stop at Bay Pkwy and 8 Av.

• To 86 St, Avenue U, and Kings Hwy, take the Astoria-bound  to Bay Pkwy and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .
• To 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy, take the Astoria-bound  to 8 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .

• From these stations, take a Coney Island-bound  to Bay Pkwy or Stillwell Av and transfer to an Astoria-bound .
• For New Utrecht Av-62 St, take the  Transfer to an Astoria-bound  train at 36 St.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 16 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, December 18, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, December 18, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 19,  trains are rerouted via the  line in both directions between Canal St and DeKalb Av.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, December 16 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, December 18, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, December 18, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound  trains run express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 59 St.

From 6:30 a.m. to 12 Midnight, Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18, Bay Ridge-bound  trains skip DeKalb Av and run express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 59 St.

From 6:30 a.m. to 12 Midnight, Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18,  service operates to/from the Jamaica-179 St  station.
