What: The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will recognize businesses and organizations for their innovative programs and commitment to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and economic viability at the 13^th Annual Environmental Excellence Awards. This year’s recipients include a major league sports team reducing its environmental footprint and engaging fans in environmental stewardship, an Adirondack outdoor recreation organization, and a Finger Lakes Region not-for-for profit, among others.
