FOX SPORTS’ TODD WALSH TO MODERATE MIRACLE ON ICE “RELIVE THE MIRACLE” EVENT IN LAKE PLACID WALSH AN 11-TIME EMMY WINNER

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Todd Walsh, who has worked with FOX Sports Arizona since 2001 and works with the Phoenix Coyotes and Arizona Diamondbacks, was appointed as Narrator of the “Relive the Miracle” 1980 US Olympic hockey team reunion event in Lake Placid, N.Y.  One of the most versatile and respected television personalities in the country, Walsh has a long history of passionate reporting on the “Miracle on Ice.”

“As a New York State native and a lifelong sports fanatic, there is no single sports moment that means more to me than the Miracle on Ice,” said Walsh.  “I consider it to be an honor to have the opportunity to share the stage with these men, many of whom I’ve gotten to know throughout the years, in the arena where it all happened.”

An 11-time Emmy Award winner, he has been recognized with the Emmy for Best Sports Anchor for the last three years, and has won that award four times in his career.

The critically acclaimed “In My Own Words” show, hosted by Walsh and featuring guests like Randy Johnson and Shane Doan, earned him four more Emmys.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Walsh graduated from the University of Arizona in 1986 with a degree in radio and television.  During his time at Arizona, he had a role as a sports reporter in the 1987 movie “Can’t Buy Me Love.”
