Henry Hudson Bridge Lower Level Lane Closures Start Dec. 9, 2016

The lower level southbound (Manhattan bound) bridge roadway and toll plaza at the Henry Hudson Bridge will be reduced to one lane during night-time off-peak hours beginning Friday, December 9, 2016. The closures will continue Monday through Friday nights starting 12/12/16. These lane reductions will be in affect from 9 PM to 5 AM.  All lanes will be open for morning rush hours.

The closures are necessary to accommodate the work zone for demolition of the lower level toll booths and obsolete tolling equipment, as the bridge moves to a fully Open Road Cashless Tolling operation. This effort is expected to take approximately two weeks, depending on weather.

Motorist are advised to expect southbound delays and plan accordingly.

Motorists can sign up for MTA e-mail or text alerts at www.mta.info and check the Bridges and Tunnels homepage or Facebook page for the latest information.
